Grumman Hellcat – FAA

£6.00£14.00

The British Fleet Air Arm (FAA) received 1,263 F6Fs under the Lend-Lease Act; initially it was known as the Grumman Gannet Mark I. The name Hellcat replaced it in early 1943 for the sake of simplicity. The F6F-3 being designated Hellcat  Mk.I, the F6F-5, the Hellcat II. The camouflage pattern varied and on some aircraft the colours reversed between the each wing. This was a result of different parts being manufactured in different factories.

The modeller is strongly advised to check their references. Additional vinyl is provided to allow the modeller to adapt the pattern provided, as needed.

This set includes only the camouflage pattern. Serial numbers, code letters and other markings are not included. See our range of Hellcat insignia.

Any products (models, paints etc) shown in photos are not included.

Orders are posted the next business day.
